Terms & Conditions - Course Bookings At the time of booking, a non-refundable deposit of £50 for all courses is required. The balance for the course is due for payment no later than 7 days prior to commencement of the course. Should the balance not be received 7 days prior to commencement, Salon West reserve the right to cancel the course booking and retain the deposit. If a course is booked 7 days or less prior to the commencement of the course, the total amount will be due at the time of booking. All course prices are exclusive of VAT at the current rate. All communication with Salon West Ltd must be made either by telephone 01443 239139 or 01443 5877068 or by email to that company. In the unlikely event of Salon West Ltd having to cancel a course, a mutually convenient date and time will be agreed with the Student at no extra charge other than the original cost of the course. No liability will be accepted for any costs incurred by the Student due to a course cancellation by Salon West. How to Pay for your course Payment is accepted by credit or debit card or cash. Card payments can be made by telephone. Salon West Ltd do not accept payment by cheque. Salon West Ltd do not offer credit facilities. Student Information In line with Salon West Ltd Health & Safety Policy all students attending should either wear their Salon uniform or suitable practical, comfortable clothing. Covered flat shoes should be worn at all times. Hair should be tied back from the face, and minimal jewellery (if any) worn. Students should ensure that they attend for courses at the appointed time. Should a Student be delayed for any reason such as weather conditions or traffic conditions, they should make every effort to contact Salon West to advise a later arrival. Salon West reserve the right to commence the training course at the allotted time if all students are not present. It is the sole responsibility of the Student to inform Salon West of any allergy or prior medical condition that they are suffering/could suffer from that may preclude them from commencing or continuing training with Salon West. If a student commences training but is unable to continue due to a pre-existing condition or allergy, Salon West reserve the right to curtail training and retain the training fee. Smoking is not allowed on the premises, nor on the exterior part of the property which includes the car parking area. The use of mobile phones during training sessions in the Training Academy is prohibited. All mobiles are to be switched off or be in “silent” mode during training. The main Salon West telephone number can be given for emergency calls.
Salon West reserves the right to cancel a course where a student’s model is in the first trimester of pregnancy, presents skin or nail disorders, recent scarring (where appropriate) grommets (where appropriate) or any contra-indication preventing treatment in such circumstances. All manicure and pedicure models should attend without polish or overlays on their fingers and toes. All Facial models should attend without make-up. Models for Indian Head massage should ideally not have very long hair, and it should not be plaited. All Spray Tanning models should exfoliate prior to attending, have not applied either make-up or moisturiser. They should have either waxed or shaved at least 24 hours prior to treatment, and should not have had brow or lash tints at least 24 hours prior to treatment. They should not have had Botox or treatments where the skin has been punctured within the preceding 48 hours. Loose, dark clothing should be worn. Models for warm waxing treatments must demonstrate at least one quarter of an inch hair growth on the leg, underarm and bikini line. Salon West are prepared to use discretion with regard to lip and chin, but the model should be made aware that these areas must be covered by the student as part of the training. Salon West reserve the right to curtail the training should the model demonstrate either insufficient hair growth or volume to enable the student to carry out training satisfactorily and under these circumstances the fee will be forfeit and no certificate issued. Models for intimate waxing must demonstrate at least one quarter of an inch hair growth in the appropriate area. It will already have been made clear to the Student that this course is designed for students aleady experienced in warm wax procedures. Should the student demonstrate that this is not the case, or the model demonstrate either insufficient hair growth or volume of hair, Salon West reserves the right to curtail the training, the fee will be forfeit and no certificate issued. It is the responsibility of the Student to ensure any certificate awarded by Salon West is not lost, stolen or destroyed as replacements cannot be issued. |
